ANTHONY RESOLUTION 98-029 A RESOLUTION AWARDING A BID FOR CONCRETE PAVEMENT REHABILITATION AND SIDEWALK CONSTRUCTION FOR 33'D AVENUE NE WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the improvement as shown on the plan for the above referenced project, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: Bidder Total Bid Progressive Contractors, Inc. $322,332.90 Knish Construction Co., Inc. $349,926.75 Shafer Contracting Co., Inc. $406,957.50 Tenson Construction Inc. $421,916.50 WHEREAS, it appears that Progressive Contractors, Inc. is the lowest responsible bidder. • NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of St. Anthony: 1. That the Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with Progressive Contractors, Inc. in the amount of$322,332.90 in the name of the City of St. Anthony, Minnesota for the improvement outlined in the above referenced project according to the plans and specifications, therefore, approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk. 2. The Engineer, Rieke Carroll Muller, Inc. is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next two lowest bidders shall be retained until a contract has been signed.
