A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A COPS UNIVERSAL
HIRING PROGRAM GRANT AWARD
WHEREAS, the City of St. Anthony is in need of two new police officers to increase the
strength of the Police Department from 12 to 14 police officers; and
WHEREAS, the St. Anthony Police Chief, in an effort to ease the City's amount of funding
to increase the number of police officers, applied for and received a grant under
the COPS Universal Hiring Program of$150,000.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of St. Anthony
hereby accepts the grant award of$150,000 from the COPS Universal Hiring Program to
hire two new police officers, increasing the number of police officers from 12 to 14, on behalf
of the City of St. Anthony.
