A RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS
AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution passed by the Council on July 28, 1998, the
engineering firm of WSB & Associates, Inc., has prepared plans and
specifications for the improvement of Wilson Street, from 27`h Avenue NE
to 29`h Avenue NE; Pahl Avenue, from Wilson Street to Coolidge Street;
Alley - Wilson Street to Coolidge Street (south of Murray Avenue); Alley -
Wilson Street to Coolidge Street (south of Pahl Avenue); and, Alley -
Wilson Street to Coolidge Street (south of St. Anthony Boulevard) by
reconstruction of the roadways and utilities.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of St. Anthony
that:
1) Such improvement is necessary, cost-effective, and feasible as detailed in the
feasibility report.
• 2) Such plans and specifications are hereby approved.
3) The consulting engineering firm shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official
paper and in the Construction Bulletin, ad advertisement for bids upon the making
of such improvement under such approved plans and specifications. The
advertisement shall be published for two times, shall specify the work to be done,
shall state that bids will be opened on or about December 16, 1998, and bids the
responsibility of the bidders will be considered by the City Council at 7:00 P.M. on
February 9, 1999, in the Council Chambers of the City Hall. Any bidder whose
responsibility is questioned during consideration of the bid will be given an
opportunity to address the Council on the issue of responsibility. No bids will be
considered unless sealed and filed with the Clerk and accompanied by a cash
deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check payable to the City of St.
Anthony for Five (5%) percent of the amount of such bid.
