PLANNING ROARD MINUTES
March 21, 1967
1 . The regular meeting of the Planning Board was called to order by Chairman
Howitz at 7:35 P.M. on Tuesday March 21 , 1967.
2. The Following members were present at roll call :
Donald Kronk, Duane Miedtke, Louis Howitz, Fred Katterheinrich, Curtis
Englund, Dr. Thomas Emond.
Robert Mesenbring joined the meeting at 7:45 P.M.
also present: Harry Lekson
3. The minutes of the regular meeting of February 210 1967 were approved as
submitted.
4. Public Hearings - None
5. Ordinance Variations
/ F. B. Van Auken appeared and discussed with the board the location of a
garage he would like to build on his property. Mr. Van Auken agreed to place
the garage behind his house and in so doing will eliminate the need for a
• variance.
6. Zoning Variation - None
7. Old Business - None
8, Building Permits
Sheldon Mortenson appeared and reviewed his plans for 2 - 18 unit apart-
ment buildings to be located on lots 13 and 14, Block 12, Mounds View Acres,
2nd addition. Upon motion by Miedtke, seconded by Englund, it was moved to
recommend to the council to approve the request as set forth in the Planning
Board minutes of February 15, 1966.
Motion Carried.
9. Miscellaneous
a. Proposed Bureau's Addition tabled until the platting of Apache land is
completed.
b. Plan for vacation of Silver Lake Road from St. Anthony Boulevard to
Highway #8 was presented. No action was taken by the Planning Board.
c. Bill Chapman appeared but did not have available the information he
wanted to present to the Planning Board at this time. He will have this mater«
• ial in a week or so and will bring it into the Village Hall so that the members
of the Planning Board can be given copies of this before the next meeting.

Id- Mr. Dunphy of Happy's Potato chip Co. appeared with preliminary plans
for a building on lots 2 and 3, Block 39 Mounds View Acres, Second Addition.
Upon motion by Miedtke, seconded by Kronk, it was moved to recommend to the
Council that the p-eliminary plan be approved.
\otion Carried.
10. Upon motion by Englund, seconded by Katterheinrich, it was moved to
adjourn.
