ANTHONY PLANNING BOARD MEETING July 16, 1968 1 . The regular meeting of the Planning Board was called to order by Chairman Howitz at 7:35 P.M. on Tuesday, July 16, 1968. 2. The following were present at roll call : Kronk, Miedtke, Howitz, Englund 3. The minutes of June 18, and the special meeting of July 9, were approved as submitted. 4. Public Hearings - none 5. Ordinance Variations Horton Connett requests approval to build on Lot 6 and 7, Block 1, Pat Pen Addition, with a 134 sq. ft. variance in floor area. Upon motion by Englund, seconded by Kronk, to recommend to the Council that the request be approved. Motion Carried. • 6. Zoning Variation - none 7. Old Business - none 8. Building Permits ./ a. Upon motion by Kronk, seconded by Miedtke, to recommend to the Council that the request of Standard Oil Company to build a 12x25 storage room at the rear of their station on 37th and Silver Lake Road be approved. Mo ion Carried. , b. Upon motion by Miedtke, seconded by Kronk, to table the request by John E. Reimann to build a Burger Chef Drive-In on Silver Lake Road north of the Mobil Station for more information as follows : Screening of property Lighting layout Contour Plan Bumper placement Study by Police and Engineering department as to traffic and the possibility of an off traffic access lane. Drainage approval by Village Engineer North lane as an in lane only South lane as an out lane only Deed showing easement for access road. Pylon sign no higher than 18 ft. and limited to 80 sq. ft. in area \Motion Carried. G -2- 9. 2-9. a. The tabling action of the St. Anthony Shopping Center Sign was discussed and a request to use exterior illumination was denied. Upon motion by Kronk, seconded by Englund, to abide by the recommendation of June 18, 1968, for interior illumination. Motion Carried. b. Upon motion by Miedtke, seconded by Kronk, to table the sign request for a replacement of the Win's Drive-In sign. The Board will meet with the new owner on Tuesday, July 30, 1968, in a special meeting of the Planning Board to discuss screening on the rear and side property lines and also to view a planned layout .of his property. Motion Carried. c. Upon motion by Miedtke, seconded by Kronk, to recommend to the Oouncil that the Apache Plat be approved subject to Post Office approval -of- Apache Lane. Motion Carried. d. Upon motion by Englund, seconded by Kronk, to recommend to the Council that the St. Anthony Office Park Addition be approved if the following be • included: Zoning Acreage Easements Square footage of lots Post Office approval Motion Carried. 3. Upon motion by Miedtke, seconded by Englund, to recommend to the Coun- cil that the request by Rehbein and Husnik to place a 3 ft. x 3 ft. redwood sign with the name "Executive Manor" approximately 12$ ft. from Old Highway #8 be approved. Motion Carried. f. Lou Howitz, Duane Miedtke, Donald Kronk, Curt Englund, volunteered to make a study of the Village for low income housing. 10. Upon motion by Kronk, seconded by Englund, it was moved to adjourn. Motion Carried. Harry Lekson Secretary
