VILLAGE OF ST. ANTHONY
PLANNING BOARD MEETING
• December 16, 1969
1. The regular meeting was called to order by Chairman Curt Englund.
2. The following were present at roll call : Englund, Harty, Miedtke, Ondrey.
Absent: Mesenbring, Kronk
3. The minutes of November 18, 1969 were approved as submitted.
4. Motion by Miedtke, seconded by Harty to recommend that Council not approve
the ordinance variation request to build houses on 45 ft. wide lots on
Roosevelt Street south of 37th Avenue N.E.
Motion carried.

8. a. No action
bMotion by Miedtke, seconded by Harty to recommend that Council approve
• the plans as submitted to build a "Ranch Style" addition to Standard Oil
Station building at 37th & Silver Lake Road. Standard Oil 0o. to identify
shrubs on plan before Council action. Fred Housenga, Area Engineer for
\ Standard Oil presented photos and plans.
Motion carried.
9. a. Mr.�` Kelly did not appear concerning Coolidge Street behind Foodtown. Mr.
Sroga appeared and discussed traffic and access.
The Planning Board requests Council to have Villpge Engineer provide
survey of Coolidge Street & Kenzie Terrace showing location of property
lines, building locations and streets so that study can be made and
final recommendation made to vacate Coolidge, restrict parking, or what-
ever is necessary.
Motion carried.
b/ A 3 ' x 10' sign was requested by 1040 Tax Service to be placed below the
sign of Industrial Credit on the east side of Apache Plaza. Motion by
Harty, seconded by Ondrey to recommend approval of 3' x 10' sign with
stipulation that Apache Plaza Center and Industrial Credit be informed
that any future signs in this area for downstairs spaces which are
requested will be limited to 3 ' x 10' and Industrial Credit will be
required to conform to the same 3' x 10' size.
Motion carried.

c.
2-c. A 72 sq. ft. shopping center sign was requested by St. Anthony Shopping
Center to be located on the triangle strip next to G & K Cleaners. Motion
by Harty, seconded by Ondrey to recommend approval of pylon sign as
presented to be located on triangle strip next to G & K with up to a 20,
variance from the requirement that it must be 35' from the street
property line.
Motion carried.
Gordon Hedlund appeared and made a preliminary presentation of the nursing home
proposal to be presented at the public hearing in January.
Motion by Miedtke, seconded by Harty to adjourn.
