VILLAGE OF ST. ANTHONY
PLANNING BOARD MINUTES
May 19, 1970
1 . The regular meeting was called to order by the Chairman at 7:30 o'clock P.M.
2. The following were present at roll calla Kronk, Englund, Carlson, Ondrey.
Absent : Mesenbring, Parrill , Bratland
3. The following correction on the minutes of the April 21 , 1970 meeting was
noted:
On page 2, item 6 on the motion by Bratland, seconded by Parrill, to
recommend to the Council that a public hearing be held and not that
the request be approved.
The minutes of the April 21, 1970 meeting were approved as corrected.
4. Ordinance Variations
a. Motion by Kronk, seconded by Carlson, to recommend to the Council
that the division of Lot 11 , Block 4, Mounds View Acres, Second
Addition be approved if it can be done to the satisfaction of the
Village Engineer without a 30 ft. easement on the east portion of
the lot for a future roadway.
Motion carried.
b. Motion by Ondrey, seconded by Kronk, to recommend to the Council
that the platting be waived on the Gearhart property at 39th and
Shamrock Drive as required in September 1968.
Motion carried.
c. No action taken.

d. Motion by Ondrey, seconded by Kronk, to recommend to the Council
that Crown Auto Stores request to move their sign to the location
of the St. Anthony Furniture Store be approved. A variance of 31
square feet of sign area and a 1 ft. in height is needed.
Motion carried.

8. Mr. Harvey Coleman presented final plans for the Equinox Apartments to be
located on Outlot 6 and D Apache Plaza. Mr. Gingold of Gingold-Pink
Architecture presented an architects view on the proposal . Mr. Robert Johnson
representing the residents along the lake requested that some of the trees
in the park area be increased in diameter from 1 to 2 inches over the proposed
size. This would involve about 40 trees to which Mr. Coleman agreed. Motion
by Carlson, seconded by Ondrey, to recommend that the plans as presented be
approved subject to the changes in the planting plan in the park area, a
variance to allow stucco on parts of the building as shown and subject to
meeting building code requirements.
Motion carried.
