PLANNING BOARD MINUTES
NOVEWER 16, 1971
Members Present: Herman, Parrill, Ondrey, Letourneau, Carlson, Bratland, Kronk
Absent: None
The minutes of the October 19, 1971 were approved as submitted.
Motion by Bratland, seconded by Parrill to allow a variance in the side yard
..,'requirements of one foot (from 15 feet total to 14 feet total ) for the construct-
ion of a 20 foot attached garage by Mr. Erling Weiberg at 3409 36th Avenue N.E.
Motion carried.
Ssof Investment Company presented plans for a 235 to 240 unit apartment complex
for Lots 1 through 8 and Lots 12 through 16, Block 1, Mounds View Acres, 2nd
Addition in anticipation of a rezoning of this property from Light Industrial to
Multiple Dwelling.
Motion by Herman, seconded by Parrill to recommend to the Council that a public
hearing be held for the purpose of granting a special use or conditional use
permit for the construction of multiple dwellings on the subject property.
Voting on the motion:
Aye: Herman, Parrill, Ondrey
Nay: Bratland, Letourneau, Kronk
Abstain: Carlson
Motion not carried.
Motion by Letourneau, seconded by Kronk to table action until the next meeting.

Aye: Herman, Parrill, Kronk, Ondrey, Letourneau, Carlson
Nay: Bratland
Motion carried.
Presentation was made by Ownership of the St. Anthony Shopping Center regarding
the proposal to put a McDonald's Restaurant on Kenzie Terrace south of American
teyion Hall.
Motion by Bratland, seconded by Herman to recommend to the Council that a public
hearing be held to rezone the balance of the lot from R1 to Commercial.
Voting on the motion:
Aye: Bratland, Herman, Carlson, Letourneau, Parrill
Nay: Kronk, Ondrey

2-Motion by Bratland, seconded by Kronk to allow Bauer Welding to put an additional
"plexiglass letter" sign on the southern exposure of their building so long as the
total sign area of all signs on the building does not exceed 150 square feet.
Motion carried.
Motion by Herman, seconded by Parrill to allow St. Anthony Village State Bank to
install two 9 square foot "show and tett" signs provided that the total area of
all signs on the bank does not exceed the total area allowed by the new sign
ordinance.
Motion carried.
Motion by Parrill, seconded by Kronk, to recommend approval of Lynn Rose sign
provided that total area is in conformance with the allowable limits of the new
sign ordinance.
Motion carried.
Motion by Parrill, seconded by Herman to adjourn.
Motion carried.
