HomeMy WebLinkAboutHRA MINUTES 05281985• CITY OF ST. ANTHONY HOUSING AND REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY MINUTES May 28, 1985 The meeting was called to order by Chairman Sundland at 8:36 P.M. Present for roll call: Sundland, Vice Chair Enrooth, Secretary/Treasurer Marks, and Commissioners Ranallo and Makowske. Also present: David Childs, Executive Director. Motion by Commissioner Makowske and seconded by Commissioner Ranallo to approve as submitted the minutes of the meeting of the Housing and Redevelopment Authority which was hbld April 23, 1985. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Secretary/Treasurer Marks and seconded by Vice Chair Enrooth to approve payment of $4,500 to Federal -State Relocation Consulting Services, Inc. for consulting services related to the relocation of existing businesses and tenants on the Walbon property for the redevelopment of the 29 unit Village Townhouses of St. Anthony. Motion carried unanimously. • The consulting service had submitted to Mr. Childs the amounts of relocation assistance which would be due under Minnesota Statute 117.52 to the Walbon Partnership; Walbon and Company, Inc.; and to the renter in the company building. The Executive Dir- ector indicated the benefits to be paid Hyman Freightways and Dave and Kenneth Gunderson would be submitted later. Although the H.R.A. members indicated they perceived these benefits to be quite high, the amounts dictated by the statute ruling were accepted as follows: Motion by Secretary/Treasurer Marks and seconded by Commissioner Ranallo to authorize the payments of relocation claims in the amounts of $4,500 to Ms. Tammy L. Hanson, renter; $32,000 to cover Walbon and Company's actual moving and related expenses; and $2,500 to the Walbon Partnership to cover business relocation and displaced business claims. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Secretary/Treasurer Marks and seconded by Vice Chair Enrooth to adjourn the meeting at.8:45 P.M. to view the new Village sign model presented by Wil Johnson of the St. Anthony Marketing Committee.
