HOUSING AND REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY
August 24, 1982
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Sundland at 9:01 P.M.
Present for roll call: Sundland, Vice Chairman Letcurneau; Secretary/
Treasurer Marks, and Commissioners Enrooth and
Ranallo.
Also present: David Childs, Executive Director; William Soth, Attorney;
and Richard Krier, Westwood Planning & Engineering Co.
Motion by Commissioner Ranallo and seconded by Commissioner Enrooth
to approve as submitted the minutes for the H.R.A. meeting held
August 10, 1982.
Motion carried unanimously.
Mr..Krier named a number of 33 agencies who would probably review the
proposed Environmental Assessment Worksheets for the Kenzie Terrace
Redevelopment Project Area and the manner in which they could be
• expected to react to the document. He reiterated that a voluntary
submission at this time could be expected to reduce time delays in the
future. Motion by Secretary/Treasurer Marks and seconded by Com-
missioner Ranallo to authorize the submission of the Environmental
Assessment worksheets to the State Environmental Quality Board with
changes in the wording requested during the July 27th H.R.A. meeting.
Motion carried unanimously.
As he had indicated at the last meeting, Mr. Krier requested two
civic leaders be appointed, who, along with the Mayor, would comprise
the Kenzie Terrace Improvement Organization who would work with him to
approach developers and sell the project to them. Several names were
submitted by H.R.A. members and the Executive Director was authorized
to seek two members to serve on that marketing committee.
Motion by Secretary/Treasurer Marks.and seconded by Commissioner
Enrooth to adjourn the meeting at 9:16 P.M.
Motion carried unanimously.
