RESOLUTION 20-088
A RESOLUTION SETTING THE FINAL 2021 TAX LEVY AND ADOPTING THE 2021
BUDGET DOCUMENT FOR THE CITY OF ST. ANTHONY VILLAGE
WHEREAS, Minnesota State Law requires that the City of St. Anthony Village provide Hennepin and
Ramsey Counties with a final 2021 certified property tax levy and
WHEREAS, the City Council discussed key financial issues and budgeting goals at the January 2020,
goal setting session; and March 31 S` work session reviewing existing infrastructure
improvement schedule and 2021 Debt Levy; and a July 7th work session to the initial 2021
Budget and Property Tax Levy estimates, public meetings were held August 25th and
September 8th for public input on the 2021 budget and property tax levy, the 2021-2037
Capital Improvement Budgets were reviewed at the October 26th work session and
approved at the November 10th Council meeting,
WHEREAS, the allowed Debt Levies will be reduced by $614,910 based on sufficient funds; and
WHEREAS, the City Council held the required Truth in Taxation meeting on Tuesday, December 8,
2020, 7:00 P.M. in its Council Chambers, to discuss the 2021 budget and property tax levy
with the residents of St. Anthony Village; and
WHEREAS, the information required for the City Council to determine a Final 2021 property tax levy has
been collected
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that:
1) The Final 2021 Property Tax Levy is:
General Operating Levy $4,754,650
Capital Improvement Project Levy $ 283,200
Road Improvement Levy $1,913,699
Lease Revenue Bonds $ 344,897
Housing and Redevelopment Authority Levy $ 197,564
Tax Abatement Levy $ 228.585
Building Improvement Levy $ 83,000
Infrastructure Levy $ 60,000
Total $7,865,595
2) The 2021 General Fund operating budget of $7,651,785 (based on 2021 General Fund
expenditures) will be adopted as the final operating budget.
Adopted this 86 day of December, 2020.
