RESOLUTION 23-057
APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF A NEW PLAYGROUND STRUCTURE AND PLAY
SURFACE AT SILVER POINT PARK
WHEREAS, the St. Anthony Parks and Environmental Committee (PEC) recommends the replacement of
an aging and non-ADA compliant play structure and play surface at Silver Point Park; and
WHEREAS, a proposal was submitted by Minnesota and Wisconsin Playground and discussed at the PEC
meeting on September 18, 2023; and
WHEREAS, the proposal includes replacement of the existing structure with the addition of increased
accessibility over and above ADA standards and the addition of a swing set; and
WHEREAS, the expenditure is budgeted and a grant has been submitted to assist in the funding for the
project, and additional grant opportunities are also being pursued.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the City Council of the City of St. Anthony Village approves the
purchase of a new playground structure and play surface at Silver Point Park.
