A RESOLUTION APPROVING A FINANCIAL CONTRIBUTION FOR EURASIAN MILFOIL
TREATMENT OF SILVER LAKE
WHEREAS, Silver Lake, a lake that numerous St. Anthony residents enjoy and utilize, has been
overcome with Eurasian Milfoil; and
WHEREAS, In 2023 Lake Restoration treated 15% of the lake which was funded by the Silver Lake
Residents Association, MN DNR grant and the City of Columbia Heights, and
WHEREAS, Lake Restoration treated 100% of the lake in April of 2024 for a total cost of $12,000, and
WHEREAS, The Silver Lake Residents Association requested $2000 in financial assistance from the City
of St. Anthony at the May 14, 2024 City Council Worksession to help pay for the April 2024
treatment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of St. Anthony Village that
a financial contribution in the amount of $2000 to the Silver Lake Residents Association for the Eurasian
Milfoil treatment of Silver Lake is hereby approved.
