ANTHONY VILLAGE STATE OF MINNESOTA RESOLUTION 24-093 A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR THE 2025 STREET AND UTILITY IMPROVEMENT PROJECT WHEREAS, the engineering firm of WSB has prepared plans and specifications for the improvement of. Street & Utility Reconstruction • Macalaster Drive from 39' Ave to Railroad Mill and Overlay • 39'i' Avenue NE from Stinson Boulevard to Silver Lake Road • 30' Avenue NE from Stinson Boulevard to Silver Lake Road • Armour Terrace from Roosevelt Street NE to Silver Lake Road • Murray Avenue from Roosevelt Street NE Coolidge Street NE • 29' Avenue NE from Silver Lake Road to Highway 88 • Roosevelt Street NE from St. Anthony Boulevard to 30' Avenue NE • Wilson Street NE from St. Anthony Boulevard to 30'h Avenue NE • Coolidge Street NE from St. Anthony Boulevard to 29' Avenue NE • Anthony Lane N from 29' Avenue NE to Cul-de-sac Central Park Improvements • Removal and replacement of the existing bituminous trail • Removal and replacement of the existing basketball court surface _Pedestrian Safety Improvements • Installation of the pedestrian refuge to enhance the existing pedestrian crossing on Silver Lake Road at 341 Avenue NE. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of St. Anthony Village that: 1.) Such improvements are necessary, cost-effective, and feasible. 2.) Such plans and specifications are hereby approved. 3.) The consulting engineering firm shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper and in the Finance and Commerce, an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvements under such approved plans and specifications. The advertisement shall be published for two times, shall specify the work to be done, shall state that bids will be opened on or about February 1, 2025, and bids will be considered by the City Council. Any bidder whose responsibility is questioned during consideration of the bid will be given an opportunity to address the Council on the issue of responsibility. No bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the Clerk and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond, or certified check payable to the City of St. Anthony Village for Five (5%) percent of the amount of such bid.
