RESOLUTION 26-042
A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN OFF -SITE LAWFUL GAMBLING PERMIT AND
LEASE AGREEMENT FOR THE NORTHEAST MINNEAPOLIS LIONS COMMUNITY
FOUNDATION AT VILLAGEFEST
WHEREAS, the Northeast Minneapolis Lions Community Foundation holds a Minnesota
lawful gambling license (#95036), and Minnesota law permits licensed lawful
gambling organizations to conduct off -site gambling events with the approval of
the local governing body; and
WHEREAS, the Northeast Minneapolis Lions Community Foundation has submitted an
application for an Off -Site Gambling Premises Permit to conduct lawful gambling
on August 1, 2026 at VillageFest, located at 3503 Silver Lake Road NE; and
WHEREAS, the proposed gambling activities will be conducted on City -owned property,
requiring a lease agreement between the City of Saint Anthony Village and the
Northeast Minneapolis Lions Community Foundation; and
WHEREAS, City staff has reviewed the request and finds it to be consistent with applicable
local regulations.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Saint
Anthony Village, Minnesota, approves the Off -Site Gambling Premises Permit application and
Lease Agreement submitted by Northeast Minneapolis Lions Community Foundation to conduct
lawful gambling on August 1, 2026 at 3503 Silver Lake Road NE and authorizes the City Clerk
to execute the application and provide a copy of this resolution to the Minnesota Gambling
Control Board as required.
