• City of Falcon Heights <br />City Council Minutes <br />6 December 1999 <br />Mayor Gehrz called the meeting to order at 7:01 p.m. <br />PRESENT: Gehrz, Gibson Talbot, Hustad <br />Also present: Susan Hoyt, city administrator <br />ABSENT: Kuettel <br />COMMUNITY FORUM: No one was present to speak. <br />MINUTES OF NOVEMBER 24, 1999 <br />The minutes of the November 24, 1999 meeting were approved. <br />CONSENT AGENDA: <br />Councilmember Gibson Talbot moved approval of the consent agenda. The <br />motion passed unanimously. <br />• 1. Licenses <br />2. Authorization for administrator to hire for the position of assistant to the city <br />administrator <br />3. Approve first responder training requirements for firefighters and eliminate <br />emergency medical technical (EMT) training <br />4. Appointment of Mr. Gregory Youngs, Jr. as a firefighter <br />PUBLIC HEARING: <br />Mayor Gehrz introduced and opened the public hearing on the proposed 2000 <br />budget and associated tax levy at 7:05 PM. Administrator Hoyt presented the <br />proposed 2000 budget and explained the property tax impact from the proposed <br />property tax levy of $615,904. Roland Olson, the city accountant, assisted with <br />the presentation. No one was present to ask questions or comment on the <br />proposed budget so Mayor Gehrz closed the public hearing at 7:30 PM. <br />POLICY AGENDA: <br />Resolution approving two amendments to the Joint Powers Agreement (JPA) for <br />the Middle Mississippi River Watershed Management Organization (MMRWMO) <br />Administrator Hoyt explained that the city participated in the Middle Mississippi <br />• Watershed Management Organization (MMRWMO) as one of several cities. <br />Although Falcon Heights comprised .2% of the area, by participating other cities <br />
