11~ MINUTES REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING APRIL 22, 1992 Baldwin convened the meeting at 7:00 p.m. ALL MEMBERS PRESENT Baldwin, Ciernia, Gehrz, Gibson Talbot and Jacobs. Also present were Chenoweth and-Hoyt. MINUTES OF 4/8/92 APPROVED The Minutes of April 8, 1992 were approved by unanimous consent. CONSENT AGENDA APPROVED Council approved the following Consent Agenda by unanimous consent : 1. Disbursements: a. General Disbursements through 4/14/92, $71,719.58 b. Payroll, 4/1/92 - 4/15/92, $11, 633.12 2. Appointment of David R. Bowers to Human Rights Commission, Term to Expire 12/31/94 3, Awarding the Tree Removal Contract for the 1992-93 Season to Thommes and Thomas 4. Scheduling a Special Meeting on 4/27/92 Following the Planning Commission Meeting 5. Licenses AUTHORIZATION TO OBTAIN BIDS FOR COMMUNITY PARK PLAY EQUIPMENT Carol Kreigler explained that replacement of the large play equipment at the Community Park is included in the 1992 parks capital improvement program. She stressed that replacement is necessary as the equipment is 18 years old, is in violation of the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission Guidelines and the guidelines for the Americans with Disabilities Act. Following a brief discussion Gehrz moved that staff be authorized to obtain bids for the Community Park playground equipment project. Motion carried unanimously. APPROVAL OF AGREEMENT WITH ROSEVILLE SCHOOL DISTRICT FOR PURCHASE OF PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT AT BRIMHALL SCHOOL Council reviewed the proposed agreement with Roseville School District 623 for purchase of playground equipment at Brimhall School. Ciernia suggested that the portion of the fourth paragraph addressing use by Falcon Heights residents be reworded to reflect that the improvements will make the playground attractive for Falcon Heights residents to use for recreational purposes.
