<br />MINUTES OF REGULAR COUNCIL MPETING <br />FALCON HEIGHTS, MINNESOTA <br />NOVEMBER 2l~, 1975 <br />A regular meeting of the Falcon Heights City Council was <br />called to order by Mayor Warkentisn at 7:05 p.m. <br />Mayor Warkentisn, Councilmen Black, Ecklund, and Steele. PRESENT <br />Also present wars Clerk Administrator Barnes and Attorney <br />Kenefick . <br />Councilman Labalestra was absent duo to a business commit- ABSENT <br />want. Engineer Lemberg was also absent. <br />Moved by Councilman Steele, seconded bT Councilman Ecklund APPROVAL OF <br />to approve the minutes of the regular meeting of November 13, MINUTES: <br />1975, as corrected. Upon a vote being taken, the following NOVEMBER 13, <br />voted "aye": Mayor Warkentisn, Councilmen Black, Ecklund, 1975 <br />and Steele, and the following voted "nay": None. Motion <br />carried. <br />At the request of George Plant, Planning Commission Chairman, PLANNING <br />this item: was deferred to a meeting in January, 1976. COMMISSION <br />DISCUSSION <br />Attorney Kenefick reviewed the present contract for police R,AMSEY COUNTY <br />services between Falcon Heights and the Ramsey County Sheriffs SfDrRIFF'S <br />Department. Mr. Kenefick felt the contract should be updated CONTRACT <br />and redrafted as maaagr areas of the contract had changed since <br />the time it was originally drawn up•.in 1967. <br />Attorney Kenefick suggested that a new contract be drafted <br />and submitted for review by the Sheriffs Department for a one <br />year term, which could be renewed automatically or terminated <br />upon an agreed time of notice. <br />Moved by Councilman Black, seconded by Councilman Steele that <br />the City Attorney be authorized to draw up a proposed contract <br />with the Ramsey County Sheriff's Department for law enforcement <br />services for 1976 for Council review. Upon a vote being taken, <br />the following noted "aye": Mayor Warkentisn, Councilmen Black, <br />Ecklund, and Steals, and the following voted "nay": None. <br />Motion carried. <br />After discussion of the possibility of a 3oint agreement with <br />Lauderdale for police coverage, the following motion was made: <br />Moved by Councilman Steele, seconded by Councilman Black that <br />the Village Administrator draft a letter to the Lauderdale <br />Council requesting theme to mast with Mayor Warkentisn, Council- <br />man Steele, and Clerk-Administrator Barnes to discuss a proposal <br />fora 3oint contract for police coverage by the Ramsey County <br />Sheriff's Department. Upon a vote being talten, the following <br />voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien~ Councilmen Black, Ecklund, and <br />Steele, and the following voted "nay": None.
