MINUTES REGULAR CITY COUNCIL FETING CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS, MINNESOTA MAY 12, 1977 • A regular meeting of the Falcon Heights City Council was called to order by Mayor Warkentien at 7:30 p.m. Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, Ecklund, Steele, and Laba- PRESENT lestra. Also Clerk-Administrator Barnes, Attorney Kenefick and Engineer Lemberg. None. ABSENT Moved by Councilman Labalestra, seconded by Councilman Steele APPROQAL OF to approve the iteuas on the Consent Agenda as follows: CONSENT AGENDA 1. Falcon Heights Company Fire Reports, Nos. 35 and 36. 2. Building Inspector's Report, April, 1977. 3. General payroll (5/1-15/77) in the amount of $3,762.69. ~.. Liquor payroll (5/115/77) in the amount of $1,816.65. ' 5. General disbursements in the amount of $1,751.57. 6. Liquor dsbursea~enta in the amount of $16,Ii.10.39. Upon a vote being taken the following voted 'Faye"s Mayor War- kentien, Councilmen .Black, Ecklund, Steele and Labalestra and the following voted "nay": None. Motion carried. Councilman Labalestra moved and it was seconded by Councilman A'PPROV'AL OF Steele to approve, as corrected, the minutes of April 28, 1977. MINUTES OF Upon a vote being taken the following voted "aye": Mayor War- 1x,/28/77 kentien, Councilmen Black, Ecklund, Steele and Labalestra and the following voted "nay": None. Motion carried. James Pratt, 1811 Arona; Robert Lamb, 1811 Simpson and William Brown, 1808 Asbury, appeared before Council with documentation of the traffic-survey they conducted on Garden Avenue. They presented Council with their findings and requested Council authorize the installation of two (2) !~ Way stop signs on Garden Avenue at the intersections of Asbury Avenue and the intersection of Simpson Avenue. After lengthy discussion as to the need for such signs. Council- man Labalestra moved and it was seconded by Mayor Warkentien to install two (2) teeaporary !~-way signs on Garden Avenue at the (intersections ~i8 Asbury and Simpson and to conduct a traffic count for. seven (7) full days before installation and for seven (7) full days, after installation, during the week of September 5, 1977. Upon completion of the traffic count the results of the count will be submitted to the Council on or about September 15, 197? for determination as to whether the installation is to be continued beyond September 15th.
