MINUTES <br />REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING '~ <br />FALCON HEIGHTS, MINNESOTA <br />JUNE 9, 1977 <br />A regular meeting of the Falcon Heights City Council <br />was called to order by Acting Mayor Black at 7:30 p.m. <br />Acting Mayor Black, Councilmen Ecklund, Steele, PRESENT.. <br />Labalestra. Also present were Clerk Administrator Barnes <br />Engineer Lemberg and Attorney Kenefick. <br />Mayor Warkentien ABSENT <br />Councilman Steele moved and it was seconded by Acting APPROVAL <br />Mayor Black to approve the items on the Consent Agenda OF CONSENT <br />as follows: AGENDA <br />1. Fire and Rescue reports nos. 41-44. <br />2. Building Inspectors May 1977 Permit reports: <br />(193-201) <br />3. License renewals issued to Charles Johnson, <br />3933 45th Avenue S. Mpls. Mn. on Fairgroaunds. <br />Cigarettes #461, On Sale non-intoxicating <br />Malt Liquor #217. <br />4. General Disbursements in the amount of $7,063.45 <br />5. Liquor Disbursements in the amount of $9,633.61 <br />6. Liquor Disbursements in the amount of $1,852.69 <br />(for May 13, 1977 - Ck. # 4239-4442.) <br />7. Lido Cafe On Sale Liquor License #5. <br />8. Lido Cafe On Sale Liquor License #4 <br />Upon a vote being taken the following voted "aye": Acting <br />Mayor Black, Councilmen Ecklund, Steele, Labalestra and <br />the following voted "nay": None. Motion Carried - Mayor <br />Warkentien absent. <br />Meg Hanish, representing the State of Minnesota, Dept. MEG HANISH <br />of Agriculture (Shade Tree Program), appeared before SHADE TREE <br />Council to explain the program the State is allowing PROGRAM <br />for the Sanitatation program and re-imbursements to <br />various Cities for Tree Removal treatment and planting. <br />Meg stated the .State is going to reimburse 45% of what <br />ever the City is going to pay citizens private property <br />under 5 acres. The State will also re-imburse for public <br />property tree planting, but not to exceed $40.00 per tree. <br />The application for the City was turned over to Clerk <br />Administrator Barnes for completion. <br />Trent Walden, 1413 West California, submitted a variance VARIANCE RE- <br />request to construct a double garage 2' from the west QUEST-TRENT <br />lot line. Acting Mayor moved, seconded by Councilman WALDEN <br />Labalestra to approve this variance request. Upon a <br />vote being taken the following voted "aye": Acting Mayor <br />Black, Councilmen Ecklund, Steele and Labalestra. The <br />following voted "nay": None- Motion carried Absent: <br />Mayor Warkentien. <br />
