1 <br />1 <br />MEETING OF API~,IL 8, 1971 <br />3055 <br />The regular meeting was called to order at 7:05 P.M. with the following members <br />present: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, Ecklund, Stone and Taylor. Also <br />present were Clerk Printon, Engineer Lemberg and Attorney Seed. <br />Plaque Presented to Ernest Romero of the Ramsey County League of Municipali- <br />Councilman Black: ties presented a plaque to Councilman Black in recognition <br />of his dedicated service as secretary-treasurer to the <br />League in 1968, 1969 and 1970. <br />Minutes: Ecklund moved that the minutes of the March 25, 1971 <br />meeting be approved as corrected. Taylor seconded and <br />the motion carried. <br />Northern States Taylor moved that the proposal by the Northern States <br />Power Company Power Company regarding Falcon Heights street lighting <br />Street Lighting contract be approved and signed by the Mayor and Village <br />Contract: Clerk. Stone seconded and the motion carried. <br />Correspondence: Various letters of correspondence were read and ordered <br />filed. <br />Seal Coating - Warkentien moved that Engineer Lemberg be authorized to <br />Northeast Area: draw plans and specifications for seal coating streets in <br />the northeast area of Falcon Heights. Black seconded and <br />the motion carried. <br />Volunteer Firemen Ecklund moved that the per diem allowance be increased <br />Per Diem Allowance: to $25 per day for volunteer firemen, not to exceed the <br />budget allowance, for travel conferences and schools. <br />Stone seconded and the motion carried. <br />Fire Reports: <br />Ecklund read Fire Reports No. 11, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9. <br />Council Meeting Ecklund moved that the Council meetings be set at 8:00 P.M. <br />Time Change: to coincide with the daylight saving time May through <br />October. Taylor seconded and the motion carried. <br />Human Rights Warkentien moved that the resignation of Rev. John Buchanan <br />Commission as a member of the Falcon Heights Human Rights Commission <br />Resignation: be accepted. Taylor seconded and the motion carried. <br />Bills: Taylor moved that the following bills be paid: <br />Falcon Heights State Bank - First half- April - 1116.20 <br />Commissioner of Taxation - First half - April - 117.110 <br />State Treasurer - First half - April - PERA 89.08 <br />State Treasurer - First half - April - Soc. Sec. 123.50 <br />Ramsey County Treasurer - Maint. pump station 5911.03 <br />(Larpenteur & Fernwood) <br />
