~s <br />MINUTES OF REGULAR CO UNCII, MEETING <br />FALCON HEIGHTS, MINNESOTA <br />DECEMBER 12, 197 <br />LI <br />LJ <br />i <br />A regular meeting of the Falcon Heights City Council was called to order <br />by Mayor Warkentien at 7:30 p.m. <br />Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Blaek, Ecklund, Steele, and Labalestra. <br />Also present were Clerk-Administrator Barnes, Engineer Lemberg, and <br />Attorney Kenefick. <br />None. <br />Councilman Ecklund moved, seconded by Councilman Black, to approve <br />General Corporate License No. 302 for Hermes Floral (Alfred L. Hennes) <br />to sell Christmas gees. Motion carried. <br />Councilman Steele moved, seconded by Councilman Labalestra, to approve <br />General Corporate License No. 301 for Vets Tree Service (William F. <br />Curtis, Jr.) to trim trees. Motion carried. <br />Councilman Black presented for discussion the subdivision application <br />of the Luther L. Johnson property, legally described as: Except the <br />East 25 feet, the North 150 feet of the South 825 feet of the East <br />1 /3 of the NW 1 /?~ of East 60 acres of Sw 1 /1~ of Section 16-29-23, and <br />related it was not yet ready for Council action until a public hearing <br />was held. Councilman Ecklund questioned the status of this area in <br />regard to "No Build" area in regard to the drainage proble~ws, and <br />whether or not the property owner had been advised of this problem. <br />Councilman Labalestra related that the property owner might not <br />realize the Council was considering this as a "No Build" area. Council- <br />man Black informed the Council that the property was already sold as the <br />deeds indicate, and that Ramsey County would not record them as it re- <br />quires aresolution by the Council granting the subdivision. Council- <br />man Black moved, seconded by Councilman Steele, to set up a public <br />hearing to be held on January 9, 1975 at 8:00 p.m., and directed the <br />Clerk-Administrator to prepare legal publication. JOHNSON <br />PROPOSED SUB- <br />DIVISION <br />Councilman Steele moved, seconded by Councilman Labalestra, to approve APPLICATION OF <br />the application for employment of Craig F. Schauffert as a volunteer CRAIG F. <br />fireman sub3ect to passing a physical. Motion carried. SCHAUFFERT <br />The request off' the Ramsey County Highway Department for Falcon Heights RAMSEY COUNTY <br />to mark 22 fire hydrants with steel posts tipped with reflective paint HIGHWAY DEPT. <br />for snow plowing crews this winter was noted and approved by the Council REQUEST <br />for Clerk-Administrator Barnes to handle. <br />Councilman Black presented the subdivision request of Harry L. Gilbert <br />to subdivide the property legally described as follows: Sub3ect to the <br />New Brighton Road, the South 96 38/100 feet of the North 13?~5.1l~/100 <br />feet of East 195 feet of SW 1 /t~ of 16-29-23, and informed the Council <br />that it had not been submitted to the Planning Commission for approval. <br />Councilman Black also made note to the Council that the Planning Com- <br />mission indicated at the last meeting that they recommend subdivisions <br />of this nature not be referred to the Planning Commission. <br />PUD Public Hearing deferred to later in the meeting. <br />HARRY L.
