2901 <br />MEETING OF JULY 21~, 1969 <br />The regular meeting of July 2~, 1969 was called to order at 7:20 P.M. with the <br />follo~ring members present: Mayor T~~arkentien, Clerk Taylor, Councilmen Stone, Black <br />and Ecklund. Also present were Engineer Lemberg and Treasurer Olsen. Attorney Seed <br />arrived at 7 :30 P .A`i. <br />1 <br />1 <br />Minutes: Stone moved that the minutes of July l0, 1969 meeting be approved <br />as corrected. Black seconded and motion carried. <br />Ben Kuefler: Taylor moved that a motion be made for Mr. Ben Kuefler to be em- <br />ployed on apart time basis for the purpose of brir~in€; the books <br />up to date. Stone seconded. This would be under the jurisdiction <br />of the Village Clerk, at a salary of X3.00 per hour. Motion <br />passed. <br />Paul Dow, Mr. Paul Dow, of the Metro Section of the League of Municipalities, <br />Metro Section appeared before Council requesting the Village of Falcon Heights <br />of the League of join the Metro Section of the League of Municipalities. The <br />2~unicixal.ities: matter is to be discussed further by the Village Council before <br />any action is taken. <br />Armor Coat motion was made by Stone and seconded by Ecklund that the bill <br />Account: of Armor Coat ~ Co., in the amount of X5308.58, be paid as recom- <br />mended by Village Engineer. Motion passed. <br />Captain Spencer, The following proposed ordinances were discussed with Captain <br />Ramsey County Spencer: Glue sniffing, keys left in locked car, regulating <br />Sheriff: parking on private property, soliciting. Attorney Seed was in- <br />structed to draft a solicitation ordinance. It was decided not <br />to take any action on glue sniffing since State Statute adequately <br />covered that problem. Keys left in locked car ordinance already <br />adopted by Village Council. Action was deferred on use of auto <br />on private property. <br />Aerial Photo: tivarkentien moved and Ecklund seconded that Village Engineer Lemberg <br />be authorized to purchase an Aerial Photo including Falcon Heights, <br />made by T-~ark Hurd, at a cost of ~~1~.00. Scale of photo is, one <br />inch equals 1000 feet. Motion carried. <br />Air Conditioner Taylor moved that Engineer and Ecklund be authorized to purchase <br />for Village an air conditioner for office with all necessary requirements, <br />Office: the price not to exceed X750. ~~arkentien seconded. Motion passed. <br />Ordinance Stone moved to adopt ordinance no. 93. Seconded by Taylor. Motion <br />ido. 93: passed. AN OTZDINANCE INC~"?EASING MAXIIti11UM SENTENCES FOR VIOLATIONS <br />OF EXISTING ORDINANCES. <br />Chapter 526 Tlotion made by Ecklund and seconded by Black to adopt the follow- <br />Resolution: ing tesolution: <br />BE IT THEliEFO~E RESOLVED, the Village of Falcon Heights hereby <br />approves saws, 1968, Chapter 52b, relating to Fire Department <br />Relief Association, of the Village of Falcon Heights. <br />
