2946 <br />MEETING OF DECEMBER 18, 1969 <br />The regular meeting of December 18, 1969 was called to order at 7:10 P.M. with the <br />following merr-bers present : Mayor Warkentien,, Clerk Taylor, Councilmen Black, Ecklund <br />and Stone. Treasurer Olsen, Attorney Seed and Engineer Lemberg arrived at 7:3D P.M. <br />Minutes; Black moved that the minutes of the meeting of December <br />11., 1969 be approved as .corrected. Taylor seconded and <br />motion carried. <br />Black moved that the minutes of the special meeting of <br />December 2, 1969 be approved as written. Taylor seconded <br />and motion carried. <br />Sidewalk Assessment Taylor moved the adoption of the following resolution: <br />Adjustment Resolution: <br />RESOLUTION REASSESSING PROPERTY OF DONALD L. ALEXANDER <br />FOR SIDEWALK IMPROVEMENT 1968-1 <br />WI~REAS <br />A. An Assessment for Sidewalk Improvement of 1968-1 <br />was duly adopted on October 8, 1969; and <br />B. An error i.n said assessment was made with respect <br />to property awned by Donald L. Alexander at 1375 West <br />Iowa Avenue Assessment Ro11 33-5500-160-05) in that the <br />property was in part assessed for work not performed on <br />the sidewalk abutting said property; <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOD that the error in the <br />above assessment should be corrected by reducing the <br />assessment on the above referenced property from $84.82 <br />to $65.05. <br />The motion was duly seconded by Ecklund and carried. <br />Hockey Rink Warkentien moved that the Mayor and Clerk of Falcon Heights <br />Agreemeart: be authorized to sign an agreement for the formation of <br />the Lauderdale-Falcon Heights Youth Hockey Board. Seconded <br />by Ecklund. Ayes; B1aek, Ecklund, Taylor and Warkentieu <br />Nags: Stone. <br />• Parking Problem Ecklund contacted ferry Roth, a resident living on Tatum <br />on Tatum Street: Street,, regarding University students parking on Tatum <br />• Street near Larpenteur Avenue. Determination at present <br />time is that we will not erect any no parking signs until <br />a further check is made. <br />Public Employees The Public Retirement Association for Employees was checked <br />Retirement Association by the Village Attorney and it was agreed to pay the l96?- <br />Payment: 1968 delinquent amount of $5,625.08. <br />~ Rights Warkentien read a letter from the Falcon Heights Human <br />Commission Letter: Rights Commission regarding a resolution about terms of <br />com:n3.ssion members. This matter was tabled for a later <br />meeting in January because the Council is unable to act <br />at this time. <br />
