2J~81 <br />Special Meeting December 7, 1966 <br />The special meeting was called to order at 7130 P.M. with th® folla9ri.ng <br />members presents Mayor Nilsen, Clerk Strandquist, Councilman Warkentien, <br />Stone and R1.ack. Also present was Engineer Lemberg. <br />The Villag® Clerk read the follo~r3.ng election returns: <br />For the offic® of Village Clerk Herbert H. Strandquist 12l~ votes <br />For the office of Councilman ~Yilliam H. Black 12b votes <br />For the office of Justice of the Peace <br />Jerome W. Beardsley 100 votes <br />(write-in) Edward Eicher 19 votes <br />On motion by Strandquist, seconded by Stone, it was voted unanimously by the <br />Council acting as Canvassing Board to declare the following duly elected to <br />office and the Clerk was instructed to certify said election returns to the <br />County Auditor. <br />Herbert H. Stranuquist was elected V:i13.age Clerk for term of two years. <br />William H. Black was elected Councilman for term of three years. <br />Jerome"~f. Beardsley was elected Justice of the Peace for term of two years. <br /> Robert Ha11 Store Black moved, seconded by Stone that the variance and <br /> Proposed Sign for conditional use request submitted by Urban Sign Company <br /> Advertising= on behalf of the Robert Hall Store at 1b39 West Larp~teur <br /> _ Avenue be referred to the. Falcon Heights Planning_Commissl.on <br /> for its review and recommendation. Ayes: All. Nays; <br /> :. None. ~Mota.on was carried. Variance is required as this <br />v <br /> additional sign on the same standard <br />as another sign puts <br /> the total over 100 square feet. <br /> State Fair Minit Black moved, seconded by Stone that the conditional use <br /> Car Wash request submitted by Signcrafters, Inc. on behalf of the <br /> Proposed Advertising State Fair ?~i.nit Car Wash at 1693.No. Snelling Avenue be <br /> Signs referred to the Planning Commission for their review and <br /> recommendation. .Ayes All. Nays: None. Motion carried. <br /> Sewer Trouble Lemberg gave report on condition of Albert Street sewer <br /> on Albesrt Streets line. After discussion, it was moved by Nilsen, seconded <br /> . by Stone that the American Pip® Company be employed to <br /> use the necessary equipment, to clear the sewer line from <br /> Garden Avenue to Larpenteur Avenue on Albert Street, at a <br /> cost not to exceed $l~5.00 an hour on a portal_to portal <br /> basis.
