25;1 <br />Regular Meeting of ~:farch 23, 1967 <br /> The regular meeting was called to order with the following members present: <br />• 1'dayor Nilsen, Clerk Strandquist, Councilmen Warkentien, Stone and Black. <br /> Also present were Treasurer Olsen, Attorney Galvin and Engineer Lemberg. <br /> „ Minutes: Stone moved, seconded by Black that the minutes of the <br /> meeting of jiarch 9, 1967 be approved. Ayes: All, Nays: <br /> None. P~lotion was carried. <br /> Correspondences <br /> R. Blomberg Letter from Robert Blomberg, 1579 Hamline Avenue requested <br /> Sidewalk: Council to obtain estimates for replacement of sidewalk <br /> in front of his building and also the sixty feet on the <br /> Iowa Avenue side of building. It is understood that Mr. <br /> Blomberg_is to malce his own agreement with contractor after <br /> such estimate is made. <br /> Young Republican William G. Paterson, Young Republican Club 49th District <br /> Club: Chairman, expressed thanks for use of village hall. <br /> County Engineer_ County Engineer Dean R. Anklan's letter of March 21, which <br /> Re: Larpenteur- was in answer to.Clerk~s.letter of February 27, advised, in <br /> Cleveland Inter- part, that left turn lanes at Larpenteur and Cleveland are <br /> section: not absolutely necessary at this time. Clerk was instructed <br /> to send copy of same to D. P. Shannon, 1890 Tatum Street. <br /> Utility ftelocationLetter from S. T. State Senate was <br />concerning unpaid assessment against the University of <br />B~innesota for the Watermain Improvement of 1963. <br />County Assessor - Letter dated March 16, 1967 from E. R. Welhaven, County <br />Instruction Assessor., was invitation to attend annual instruction meeting <br />Meeting: for assessors and local board members on April 12, 1967.. <br />Notice to County Notice from Minn. Highway Department Construction Districts <br />and hunicipal 5 and 9 addressed to County and Municipal Engineers and <br />Engineers Officials Interested in Traffic Operations stated that <br />Highway Department is scheduling traffic seminars throughout <br />the state. tiYarkentien moved, seconded by Stone that Engineer <br />Lemberg be authorized by the village council to attend such <br />meetings.
