~~~ <br />REGULAR ?~IF~TING, THURSDAY, January 23rd, 1958. <br />Meeting called to order at 7:~0 P. M., the following council members being <br />present: Harold C. Nilsen, Mayor; George J. Shavor, Trustee; Willis Warken- <br />tien, Trustee and William R. Utecht, Clerk. Also present: William E. Olsen, <br />Treasurer; Frank N. Graham, Attorney and Ethel White, Deputy Clerk and Treasurer. <br />The minutes of the January 9th, 1958 meeting were ordered approved as sub- <br />mitted. <br />Change Fund After discussion, Utecht moved that a "Change Fund" of <br />$625.00 be established. Seconded by Warkentien and motion <br />unanimously carried. <br />This procedure was suggested by Mr. Anderson of the <br />Public Examiner's office who was present at the meeting. <br />Shell Oil <br />Company A letter of Shell Oil Company dated January 9th, 1958 re- <br />questing permission to use Ste~rart's letter of December 18, <br />1957 in their employee publication was read. Utecht moved <br />that the clerk write Shell Oil Company a letter granting <br />this request. Seconded by Warkentien and motion unanimously <br />carried. <br />Consolidation <br />of Funds After discussion, Shavor moved that the balance in the <br />Street and Bridge Fund, The Fire Maintenance Fund, The Fire <br />Equipment Fund, the. Public Safety Fund, The Federal With- <br />holding Tax Fund and the Public Employees' Retirement <br />Association Fund as of December 31st, 1957 be transferred to <br />the General Fund since these funds made up the General Fund. <br />Seconded by Warkentien and motion unanimously carried. <br />Girl Scout <br />Leader Meetings A letter dated January 14, 1958 from Mrs. C. M. Zoubek, <br />1925 Asbury asking for permission to use the Village Hall <br />for a First Aid Course for Girl Scout Leaders from 1 to <br />3 o'clock on February 1t, 11, 18, 25 and March Itth was read. <br />Shavor moved that, the request be granted, and that the <br />Clerk notify Mrs. Zoubek and the Fire Department that <br />permission had been granted. Seconded by Plilsen and mo- <br />tion unanimously carried. <br />Firetown A letter of January 16, 1958 from the insurance department <br />Insurance of the State of Minnesota relating to the apnor tionment <br />Premiums of the insurance premium tax with form letters sent to <br />insurance agents and insurance companies was noted and filed. <br />
