1129 REGiTLAR MEETING JANUARY 8th, 1959. Meeting was called to order at 7 P. M., the following Council Members being present: Harold C. Nilsen, Mayor; George J. Shavor, Trustee; Willis Warkentien, Trustee and Paul Coppini, Trustee. Also present were Frank N. Graham, Village Attorney, Wm. E. Olsen, Treasurer and Ethel E. White, Deputy Clerk and Deputy Treasurer. Acting Mayor Nominations for the office of Acting Mayor for 1959 were called for. George J, Shavor was nominated. There being no further nominations, George J. Shavor was duly and unanimously appointed to the office of Acting Mayor for 1959. Village Nilsen moved that the firm of Briggs, Gilbert, Morton, Kyle & Attorneys Macartney be engaged as Village Attorneys for the year 1959. Second- ed by Utecht and motion carried unanimously. Deputy Clerk Upon the request of the Village Clerk and after discussion, Warken- tien moved that the Village Clerk be authorized to appoint a Deputy Clerk. Seconded by Shavor and motion carried unanimously. The Village Clerk then reported that he appointed Ethel E. White as Deputy Clerk of the Village of Falcon Heights. Deputy Upon the request of the Village Treasurer and after discussion, Treasurer Coppini moved that the Village Treasurer be authorized to appoint a Deputy Treasurer. Seconded by Warkentien and motion carried un- animously. The Village Treasurer then a-~pointed Ethel E. White Deputy Treasurer of the Village of Falcon Heights. Bonds After discussion, Nilsen moved th a±, the Village Clerk's bond be sat at X500.00, and that it be renewed for a tyro year period, That the Deputy Clerk's bond be set at X1000.00 and that it be renewed for one year. Seconded by Shavor and motion carried unanimously. Financial In connection with preparing the financial statement for the year statement ended December 31st, 1958, Shavor moved that the Clerk and Treasurer be authorized to arrange for assistance on the same basis as last year, to publish the said financial statement in the lase Tribune and to see that all necessary work be done in connection with the financial statement. to see that the accounts of Clerk Wm. R. Utecht are approved. Seconded by Co;opini and motion carried unanimously. Legal News- The following resolution was adopted by unanimous vote on motion paper by Utecht, seconded by Shavor: RESOLVED, That the Rose Tribune, a legal newspaper of general eir'- culation in the Village of Falcon Heights be and hereby is desig- nated as the official newspaper of the Village of Falcon Heights., in-which shall be published such ordinances and other matters as are required by law to be so published, and such matters as the Council may deem it advisable and in the public interest to have published in this manner for the year 1959. Depositories The following resolution was moved by Warkentien' seconded by Shavor and adopted unanimously. RESOLVED, That the Falcon Heights State Bank of Falcon Heights, J Y
