1357 <br />SPECIAL T~:ETING 1~21~60 <br />Special T:Teeting was called tc order at 7 P, r,4,, the following Council ~Rembers being <br />present: Harold C. Nilsen, "~2ayor; George J. Shavor, Trustee; Paul Coppini, Trustee; <br />Willis Vtarkentien, Trustee and VTm. R. Utecht, Clerk. Also present was Ethel E,~ <br />Vihite, Deputy Clerk and Deputy Treasurer. Absent: U'dm. E. Olsen, Treas. <br />Sewer Flush- ~3ert Slama's report to the Council regarding sewers, manhole covers <br />ing Rc Rink and skating rinks was read and filed. <br />Flooding <br />1"Torkmen's Attorney Graham's letter regarding ~"'orkmen's Compensation Insurance <br />Compensation was read. The Deputy Clerk was instructed to pay nRutual Service <br />Insurance Casualty and cell for bids before the expiration of the present <br />policy. <br />police Dog Utecht reported ±.ha± Herness of the ^~?utual Service Casualty Insurance <br /> Company advised tha± our present insurance covers any damage or in-~ <br /> jury caused by the dog, but does not insure the dog against loss or <br /> injury. <br />Lighting Co~pini reported that, the Businessmen had spoken to him regarding <br />Business more lighting for the business district. It was suggested that <br />District Coppini contact Northern States Power Company for plans, recommenda~ <br /> Lion and prices. <br />Lauderdale After discussion, it was moved by Utecht, seconded by Coppini and <br />Fire unanimously voted that Mayor Nilsen be authorized to write the Village <br />Contract of Lauderdale outlining the proposed cost to the i%illage of Lauderdale <br />of fir`e~ services and to enter into negotiations for the finalizing <br /> of a contract based on an assessed valuation formula. <br />Sump Area Plans for the Snelling Underpass and the Ioti^fa Sump Area were studied <br /> and discussed. ?:Rayon 1`,?ilsen and Attorney Graham will meet with <br /> 's?cCubrey of the r~:Rinr.esota State Highway Department for further study <br /> and discussion at an early date. The Deputy Clerk was instructed to <br /> get the deed to the ;"'ilson Property out of the Safety Deposit Uox <br /> and send it to Graham. <br />Bills On motion by Shavor, seconded by VTarkent.ien, the following bills were <br /> ordered paid; <br />Jerome R. Johnson, dog upkeep for January 25.00 <br />Ramsey Co. Treas. Tab. names and realesta.te for watermain <br />assessment <br />Pure Oil Co., gas, grease, oil, etc. <br />Inter-City Prtg.
