Nilsen, Mayor; George Shavor, Trustee; Willis Warkentien, Trustee; Paul <br />Coppini, Trustee; and Wm. R. Utecht, clerk. Also present were Frank N. Graham, Village <br />Attorney, Wm. E. Olsen, Treasurer; Gordon Nelson, Fire Chief; Otto Bonestroo and B. <br />Lemberg, Village Engineers, and Ethel E. White, Deputy Clerk and. Deputy Treasurer. <br />Minutes of the meeting of August 11th were approved as corrected. (Last Sentence, <br />last Paragraph, page 1485 changed to read: "Moved by Utecht, Seconded by Nilsen, <br />and unanimously carried.++) <br />Election It was moved by Utecht, seconded by Nilsen, and unanimously <br />Board voted that Mrs. Ruth Martin, 1765 FairvieR, be appointed Chairman <br />Chairmen of Election Board Precinct 1; Mrs. Rhodie Arndt, 1447 W. Idaho, <br />Chairman Election Board Precinct 2, and Mrs. Laverne Olsen, 1784 <br />No. Pascal, Chairman Election Board, Precinct 3. <br />Real .Estate Treasurer Olsen reported he had received a check for $1,987.28 <br />Taxes year 1957 as referred. to in County Treasurer"Killeen+s letter to County <br />payable in 1958 Auditor Monick. Olsen also reported he had received credit-for <br />the X6387.56 referred to in the same letter. These sums covered <br />credits due Falaan Heights but erroneously paid to other munici- <br />palities. <br />1960 Tax Attorney Graham's letter of August 23rd to Wm. E. Olsen, advising <br />Settlement that it appeared his computation of allocations was correct, was <br /> read and placed on file. <br />Seger Copies of Attorney Graham's letters to the City Clerk, St. Paul, <br /> and the City Comptroller, St. Paul, were read. Letters advised <br /> Graham was enclosing a duly certified copy of Ordinance No. 60 <br /> passed by the Village Council of the Village of Falcon Heights <br /> on July 28th, 1960 accepting the provisions, terms and conditions <br /> of St. Paul's ordinance No. 11782. <br />Watermain Copy of Attorney Graham's letter to Engineer Bonestroo regard- <br />Improvement ing tabulations for the Assessment covering the Watermain <br />1960 Improvement 1960, was read and filed. <br />Tax Levy Letter from Eugene A. Monick, County Auditor, regarding annual <br /> tax levy was read and filed. <br />Variance Letters signed by Wesley Tennyson, Richard Thorp, and S. E. <br /> Anderson, advising that they had reached an agreement on the <br /> proposed Redwood Fence for which Tennyson and Thorp requested a <br /> variance, were read. Af ter discussion, it was moved by Warkentien, <br />_ seconded by Shavor and unanimously voted that the following reso- <br /> lution be approved: RESOLVED; that the request of Wesley Tennyson, <br /> 1935 Summer and Richard Thorp, 1929 Summer, for a variance under <br /> Ordinance No. 17, to permit them to erect a Red:rood fence as <br /> per sketch submitted, on their property at 1935 and 1929 Summer <br /> is hereby granted; the Council specifically finding that the <br /> granting of such variation will not materially affect adversely <br /> health, safety or general welfare or public or private property. <br />
