REGULAp "y4~ETING ?,1AY 9th, 1961. <br />1591 <br />Meeting v~ras called to order at 7:00 P. `~., the following Council Members <br />being present: Harold C. Nilsen, Mayor; George Shavor, Trustee; Paul Coppini, <br />Trustee; VJ. A. r,4ortenson, Clerk. Also present were Frank N. Graham, Village <br />Attorney; PJm. E. Olsen, Treasurer; Ethel E, ti'Jhite, Deputy Clerk Arid Deputy <br />Treasurer. Absent: Willis 'rJarkentien, Trustee. <br />License: All requirements having been met, it was moved by Coppini, <br />seconded by Shavor and unanimously voted to issue ~rASTER GAS <br />INSTALLERS LICEPISE #152 to R. Rreatherston, dba Dick ~"Jeatherston's <br />Associated Mechanical Services, Inc., 668 Jenks Avenue, St. Paul, Minn. <br />Sanitary Bert Slama's report of i~4ay 7th on the Sanitary Sewer System of the <br />Sewer Village of Pal con Heights was read and discussed. It was moved by <br />Nilsen, seconded by Shavor and unanimously voted that the Engineers <br />be instructed to make adjustments to bring-the manholes to correct <br />levels. <br />Fences tJ. L. Hermes was present to request information on fences. He <br />was given a copy of the specifications as set out in the new <br />ordinance. There was also a discussion regarding the alley, <br />drainage, etc., and Mr. Hermes was advised the Village Engineer <br />would call on him to discuss the matter and make recommendations. <br />Street There was a discussion regarding additional 23,000 lumen street <br />Lights lights. Mayor Nilsen will contact ~'r. `Tanelli of Northern States. <br />Street There was a discussion regarding street repairs and Mayor Nilsen <br />Repairs reported that Engineer Lemberg said the contractors were set to <br />start right after May 15th when the load restrictions go off. <br />Fire There was a discussion regarding the adoption of the abbreviated <br />Ordinance Fire Prevention Code as recommended by the National Board of Fire <br />Underwriters. It was decided to give the matter some publicity <br />between now and the next regular council meeting, "{ay 25th, and <br />to nut ±he matter on the agenda for 8 P. T~d. at that meeting. This <br />will give anyone interested an opportunity to attend the meeting <br />and present his views. <br />Care of The proposed contrac£ with the County of Ramsey for the care of <br />Prisoners prisoners was discussed. On motion by Nilsen, seconded by Coppini, <br />it was unanimously voted. that the Clerk be authorized to sign <br />the contract submitted. <br />Bills On motion by Shavor, seconded by Coppini, the following bills <br />were ordered raids <br />Bertrand J.
