poi <br />REGULAR P~ETING JUNE 8, 1961. <br />T~Ieeting was called to order at 7 P. P.Z., the following Council r:~embers being <br />present: Harold C. Nilsen, r,7ayor; George Shavor, Trustee; Willis ~`larkentien, Trustee; <br />Paul Coppini, Trustee. Also present were rtl. Galvin, Village Attorney; Wm. E. Olsen, <br />Treasurer and Ethel E. S"dhite, 'leputy Clerk and ?deputy Treasurer. <br />The r:iinutes of the regular meeting of ~:~ay 2Kth were approved as submitted. <br />The Pdinutes of the Special ?t2eeting of Jure 1st were approved as submitted. <br />Goocwwill Box Complaint regarding the unsightliness a£ the location of the <br />Goodwill Box, caused by apparentl~r worthless articles left <br />there, was read. The Deputy Clerk was instructed to call the <br />Goodwill and ask if they tivere able to use the material left at <br />that loca.tior.. <br />Requisition It was moved by ~farkentien, seconded by Shavor and unanimously <br />Tao. 173 voted to approve requisition 173 for ±:he Fire Department, subject <br /> to checking for a. better price nn 2 - 50' lengths of all-rubber hose. <br />"ERA Letter of June 6th from Joseph C. Page, Chairman, Board of Trustees <br /> Public Employees Retirement Association, aras read. Same advised <br /> that the procedure for collection of employer coraributions will <br /> continue as in the past. Certif~_cations will be for~rra.rded to <br /> county auditors about the end of September indicating the sum due <br /> for the preceding fiscal near ending June 30th, 1961. <br />ltiatermain Final estimate due Dunkley was received from Banestroo and dis- <br />Tm*~rovement cussed. The Deputy Clerk vra.s instructed to return the bill to the <br />1960 rJo. 1. engineers with instructions tha±, they certify to us that the <br /> boulevard along the Snelling Service. Drive has been accented and <br /> that ±h.ere swill be no comeback from the State of r:2innesota. Also <br /> that the Ramsey County Highway i~epart.ment has been satisfied vrith <br /> resNect to tre work along Roselawn and that, as a Hart of the <br /> final report by the engineers, they furnish us with an analysis <br /> showing the estimate of the job and whether there arras an over-run <br /> or under-run. Nilsen will ~~rrite the Engineers pointing out ±hat <br /> they will have to be more careful or. their specifica+ions and more <br /> studious of conditions prior to work. He suggested that the <br /> attorneys and engineers work together on the specifications. There <br /> should also be bet+,er su~aervision while the work is being done. <br />Record The Deputy Clerk was instructed to ask the Fire Department to <br />Player stencil "Village of Falcon Heights" on the record player and the <br /> s beakers, <br />Dlaynround Con*~ini moved +,ha+, the bill for Jerseys be raid and that, they be <br />Eauipment returned to the ti"illage to become Hart of the playground equipment. <br /> Seconded by Shavor and carried. The ~;"i~1~ge Attorney will check to <br />see vrhat we can or cannot furnish in the ~raay of recrea+.,ion equipn~er.t <br /> and report later. <br />
