1766 <br />REGULAEt ~.SEETING JUNE 13, 1962. <br />Meeting was called to order at 7:00 P. M., the following Council Members being <br />presents Harold C. Nilsen, Mayor; George J, Shavor, Trustee; Charles P. <br />Stone, Trustee; Willis Warkentien, Trustee; W. A. Mortenson, Clerk. Also <br />present were Td. J. Galvin, Village Attorney; Brad Lemberg, Village Engineer; <br />Wm. E. Olsen, Treasurer; and Ethel E. White, Deputy Clerk and Deputy Treasurer. <br />It was moved by Stone, seconded by Shavor and voted to approve the minutes of <br />April 25th as submitted. <br />It was moved by Stone, seconded by Shavor and voted to approve the minutes of <br />~y 23rd as submitted. <br />Audits Mr. Henning of Haskins-Sells was present. He reviewed the audit <br />with the Council; suggested a more detailed bookkeeping system and <br />secured the Councils permission to contact the Public Examiner <br />to ascertain whether our present system meets the requirements of <br />the Public Examiners. <br />Courts Clarence Rekstad was present and. he and the Council discussed plans <br />for building needed equipment for the Court Room. <br />Sewer: A. E. Fry, 1l~57 Iowa, reported that he gets clear water from the <br />main sewer in his basement after heavy rains. Engineer Lemberg <br />reported he had lamped the line, found an obstruction and called <br />Roto Rooter to ream the line. They found rags, plastic bags and <br />roots. Mr. Fry~s line is now draining, but Lemberg will contact <br />Rioter Rooter again and have them go in there with a bucket to <br />clean the main sewer line. <br />Planning, Art Lindig was present to 7iscuss development of his property and <br />Art Lin- it was suggested that he obtain legal advice to determine his <br />dig: property rights and then go on from there, <br />League of Letter from P,irs. Karl Vander Horck, stating that the League hoped <br />Yeomen ?dr. Dahl's sugges+ion that a portion of the tract near the ponding <br />Voters: area on the unplatted tract between Fairview and Tatum be purchased <br />for use as a recreation area, was read. After discussion, it was <br />determined that this purchase would not be practical without public <br />access. <br />Dogs: After discussion, it was moved by Mortenson, seconded by Shavor and <br />/voted to adopt the following resolutions <br />WHEREAS, the Vi11aMe of Falcon Heights has adopted an ordinance <br />Registering and Regulating the Keeping of Dogs in said Village, <br />being Ordinance No. 39, adopted April 11, 1956, and <br />WHEREAS, under the provisions of Section 1Lt of said ordinance, <br />the Falcon Heights Village Council is authorized to enact a resolution <br />prohibiting, for a liven time, any and all dogs from running at large <br />in said Village, <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: <br />That any and all dogs are prohibited from running at large in the <br />Village of Falcon Heights from June 23rd to September 30th, 1962, <br />inclusive. <br />
