MINUTES <br />SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />APRIL 25, 1987 <br />Baldwin called the special meeting to order at 2:00 P.M. <br />ALL MEMBERS PRESENT <br />Baldwin, Ciernia, Chenoweth, Wallin and Hard. <br />DISCUSSION - THREE FINALISTS FOR CLERK/ADMINISTRATOR POSITION <br />Council inquired of Consultant Loren Law, if after the Council's morning <br />interviews and after meeting with city staff on April 24th, all three <br />finalists, Stephen King, Mark Noble, and Janet Wiesner were still <br />interested in the position and Law replied in the affirmative. Law <br />commented on additional benefits all candidates would like such as a <br />severance pay agreement and membership in ICMA for possible pension fund <br />participation. Law recommended Council take a secret ballot to determine <br />which candidates are still being considered, and after reviewing the <br />ballots found all members had voted for Janet Wiessner. <br />Council and Law then negotiated requests Weisner had made regarding <br />severance pay, immediate sick leave/vacation time, relocation allowance, <br />and membership in various organizations. <br />JANET R. WIESSNER NAMED CLERK ADMINISTRATOR <br />Following the discussion Chenoweth moved, seconded by Hard, the hiring of <br />Janet R. Wiessner as Clerk Administrator, effective May 18, 1987, subject <br />to approval of a written contract. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Council then thanked the other finalists, Stephen King and Mark Noble <br />ADJOURNEMNT <br />Wallin moved, seconded by Chenoweth, adjournment at 2:54 P.M.
