Lindig, Trustee <br />George I. Lodahl, Trustee ' <br />Clyde J. Stewart, Clerk <br />Frank N. Graham, Attorney <br />Meeting called to order at 7:40 P. M. Reading of minutes of January 21, 1953 <br />meeting was deferred until February 10th, date of our next regular meeting. <br />Post Office The Clerk reported on matters relating to the Falcon <br />Heights branch post office now under construction. <br />Oil burger As to the X4.50 out-of-oil servi ce call item listed under <br />service call "Bills" in minutes of Deces:tber 30, 1952. In view of report <br />Prom the Thorne Coal & Oil Company as presented by the Clerk, <br />the Council agreed to withdraw their request for rebilling <br />our fuel oil supplier for said amount. <br />Recess The meeting was ordered recessed at 8:00 P.M. <br />Public Hearing, The Mayor declared open at 8:00 P.M., the hearing for the <br />Proposed Assess- purpose of passing upon proposed assessments against abutting <br />meets, grading properties on the seven graded ar~d eurfaoed alleys which were <br />de eurfaoing described in a legal notice in The Rose Tribune of December 18, <br />7 alleys 1952. About 25 property ovmers were present. They Mayor <br />stated that the Village Attorney and Milner W. Carley, Engineer, <br />were present to answer questions relating to the proposed <br />assessments and to the grading and surfacing of the alleys. <br />Attorney Attorney Graham then summarized the step by step prooedure <br />which the statute requires and which was followed in connection <br />with improvement of the seven alleys. Now that the work has <br />been completed, the costs must be established against abutting <br />properties and oertified to the County Auditor, the Attorney <br />said He referred to the proposed assessment li st that had <br />been filed with the Clerk, which was then summarised. Discussion <br />followed as to length of the period over which the oost of the <br />improvements should be spread and interest rate to be charged. <br />Engineer In connection with matters pertaining t o the grading and drain- <br />age of said alleys, Messrs. S.W. Hart, 1488 Crawford; V. J. <br />Toscano, 142? California; W. G. Dunkel, 1474 Crawford, and <br />R. W. Kranz, 1483 Larpenteur Avenue West, were heard. Engineer <br />Carley spoke on these and other questions relating to work <br />performed in the various alleys'. <br />No one else wishing to be heard and there being~no,ob~ecti`ona, <br />the following resolution wsa adopted by a unanimous vote of <br />the council on motion by Lindig, seconded by Shavor - <br /> <br />
