Amusement Attorney Graham reported on request of the Minnesota Amusement Company request Company for permission to construct a building on the south- building permit east corner of Larpe#teur and Snelling, and that he suggested they discuss the matter with the council. Trustee Lodahl Because of plans for making his home in California, Trustee resigns Lodahl offered his resignation from the council to be effective as of November 15, 1953• On motion by Lindig, seconded by Shavor, it was voted unanimously to accept the resignation. Graham, Attorney Meeting called to order at 7:It0 P.M., and minutes of November 10, 1953, meeting were heard and approved as read. Fire ~ Trus+ee J. Langenberger, of 'the Village of Lauderdale, Inspebtibns, and our Fire Chief Swanson appeared before the council in Lauderdale - connection with Falcon Heights request on Lauderdale to make their own fire inspections, Trustee Langenberger stating that in his opinion such inspections should be performed by the Falcon Heights Fire Department. Witten recommendation of the Fire Department cod ~~t~ee wasp read, r stating that a meeting of the committe wl h a~1'i$embers and the Fire Chief present, and that it was agreeable with all present that Lauderdale make their own inspections provided they furnish the information needed. to protect our personnel and equipment, also that the committee recommended that the plan be put into effect. ,,,,a, The Clerk ~ s letter of November 11th to Lauderdale~a~vising that the council had voted to ask. the Village of Lauderdale to make its own inspections beginning December 1, 1953 and to furnish our Fire Department with the required information. Also read was letter from the Village Glerk of Lauderdale, stating that our letter re fire inspections was being turned over to J. Langenberger, Village Fire Inspector, who would contact our Fire Chief. After some discussion as to standby contracts not providing for inspections, Mr. Langenberger agreed to refer the matter back to the Lauderdale council.
