St~;nzinger, Mayor; George J. Shavor, Trustee; Clyde J. <br />Stewart, Clerk. Absent: Andrew Hustrulid, Trustee, and. David P. Cartwright, Trustee. <br />Also present: ;~~illiam E. Olsen, Treasurer, and Frank N. Graham, Attorney. <br />Minutes of regal ar meeting , November 24, 195l~, and of public hearing on the Hartf iel <br />rezoning petition, same date, were heard and approved as read. <br />MGI license issued to 'd~eiden Bros. Heating &. Sheet Metal, Inc., of Newport, <br />#~6 was ordered approved on motion by Shavor, seconded by Stenzinger. <br />MGI license issued to Fred Vogt &. Co., 6530 uV. Lake St., S±: Louis Park, <br />#1~7 ordered approved on motion by Shavor, seconded by Stenzinger. <br />Xmas tree Application from Clyde Melton, 938 Vat-son Ave., St Paul, to <br />lot license operate Christmas tree lot at 1702 N. Snelling thru Dec. 24, <br />together with check for X10.00 covering license fee, was <br />considered. On motion by Shavor, seconded by Stenzinger, <br />issuance of said license was approved. <br />Xmas tree Letter was read from Marvin E. Smith and Parker Anderson, of <br />lot license 1513 +f. Hoyt, applying for license to operate a Christmas lot <br /> at Como and Snelling (entrance to fair grounds) for period <br /> ending December 24, 1951. Attached was their check for X10,00 <br /> covering license fee. Shavor moved approval of said license <br /> application, seconded by Stenzinger, and so ordered. <br />Cities Service The Clerk submitted application from the Cities Service Oil <br />Oil Company Company operator, Vernon R. Colon, 873 Idaho Avenue JUest, <br />license applic. St Paul, to operate a filling station at the southeast corner <br /> of Larpenteur and Snelling. Check for ~?_11.00, pro rated <br /> license fee for period December 1, 195I~ thru June 30, 1955, <br /> also attached. Building Inspector Christensen reported that the <br /> Cities=:3ervice pil Company had installed the curbing on the <br /> Snelling side of the station as required and recommended that <br /> the license be approved. Approval was moved by Shavor, seconded <br /> by Stenzinger, and motion carried unanimously. <br />Twin Cities <br />Metropolitan area Letter of December 3, 1954, from the Citizens League of Minneapolis, <br />Trand~~' ComrniSS/on as to creating. a Twin Cities metropolitan area transst commission, <br /> and proposed meeting fori3:is purpose to be held Decem ber 18, 195I~, <br /> at the Y.M.C.A., 1t~25 University Avenue, Minneapolis, <br /> '- Agreed to refer letter and file to Shavor who will ask <br /> hegislative committee Chairman, Lynn P~atteson, to attend. <br />Bills: In considering street bill submitted by the County F:,Yigineer for <br /> the period October 26 to November 25, 19511, the charge on this. <br /> bill for the 'oituminous surfacing of the a7.ley behind business <br /> properties north of Larpenteur, was discussed with Street Commissioner <br /> Seaborn. It was agreed to hold the bill over until our next <br /> regular meeting so that the Village attorney may contact the <br /> Northern States Power Company thru Engineer Carley, also the <br /> business property owner, with respect to their sharing in the <br /> cost of the alley improvement. <br />~sa~~~ <br /> <br />
