~ ~.~ u <br />SPECIAL MEETING, THURSDAY, MARCH 21, 1957 <br />Meeting called to order at 7:30 P.M., the following council members being present: <br />William R. Utecht, Mayor; George J. Shavor, Trustee; Harold C. Nilsen, Trustee; <br />Willis Warkentien, Trustee; Clyde J. Stewart, Clerk. Also present: .Bernard Friel, <br />Village Attorney. Absent: William E. Olsen, Treasurer. <br />In minutes of March ltt, 195?, copy to each council member, it was pointed out that <br />the name. Stanley Watson, last paragraph, page 791, should be corrected to read <br />"Stanley Watkins." There being no further corrections or additions, and rio one <br />wishing to have the minutes read, Utecht moved that reading of the minutes of March <br />11t, 1957 be dispensed with and that same be approved as corrected. Seconded by <br />~garkentien and so ordered. <br />Matters re Village Attorney Friel reported on discussing the matter <br />property of parking cars on the property along Arona south of the <br />represented business block with the property owners' attorney, the <br />by Stepnitz latter stating they were using the property as a place for <br /> parking employees' cars only. Attorney Friel stated he <br /> would have to check the statute to determine definitely <br /> whether employee parking on the property is a violation of <br /> the ordinance as is public parking. Friel also reported <br /> that some dirt had been hauled in for the bank requirement <br /> along the south side of the property and that some work had <br /> been done on the dike, Said he would talk the matter over <br /> further with Don Julen and the property owners' attorney <br /> and ask them to appear at the council's March 28 meeting. <br />Village Engineer <br />r <br />t <br />( <br />) 8eport dated March 21, 1957 from Vernon L. L~ungren, of our <br />epor <br />s on <br />1 Village Engineers, was read relative to (1) providing for <br />drainage of above drainage from the property along Arona and south of the <br />property (2) Falcon business block, including suggested plan for storm sewer <br />Woods Addn. streets <br />i <br />(3) d in the area; (2) attempt to contact Mr. Gage to work out <br />ra <br />nage Tatum plan for making streets passable in Falcon Woods Addition; <br />& Roselawn (3) County's offer to install culvert to take care of <br /> drainage at Tatum and Roselawn if we can get permission to <br /> to divert the drainage into the water hole in the ad3oining <br /> Roseville area. <br />Bills: On motion by Nilsen, seconded by Shavor, the following bills <br /> were ordered paid: <br /> McClain & Hedman Co., 200 envelopes, regn. #110, ~1.1~0 <br /> Amstan Supply Co., nipples & bushings, tank truck, ~?~.67 <br /> Gen. Treasurer, street work, Feb., ~1~37,11 <br />Keep Off signs, Nilsen reported that the County had posted "Keep Off" signs <br />ponding area at the ponding area, and that he had referred the matter <br /> of street conditions in the Falcon Woods addition to Village <br /> Engineer L3ungren. <br />Sanitary Sewer - <br />M <br />' Mr. Steffes' memo of March 21, 1957, relative to method for <br />r. Steffes <br />memo taking bids, street resurfacing matters, and sanitary sewer <br /> connection to the Village Hall and Fire Station, was read <br /> and discussed. Mr. Steffes stated that final plans provide <br /> for bringing sanitary sewer service to the Village Hall and <br /> Fire Station from Larpenteur Avenue, which requires no easement <br />n <br />
