<br />No. 97-16 <br />CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS <br />COUNCIL RESOLUTION <br />Date: May 14,1997 <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN AGREEMENT TRANSFERRING OWNERSHIP OF <br />THE FALCON HEIGHTS WATER SYSTEM TO THE <br />ST. PAUL WATER UTILITY <br />WHEREAS, the city council has investigated turning ownership and <br />maintenance of the Falcon Heights water system to the St. Paul Water Utility; and <br />WHEREAS, Falcon Heights will benefit from such an arrangement by <br />turning over future costs and management of the system while reducing the rate at <br />which Falcon Heights users pay for water; and <br />• WHEREAS, Falcon Heights will also benefit by being represented by a <br />suburban representative on the board of the St. Paul Water Utility; and <br />WHEREAS, the St. Paul Water Utility will benefit by having a guarantee <br />that Falcon Heights will be a part of its water system over the coming years. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Falcon Heights City <br />Council approves the agreement transferring the Falcon Heights water system to the <br />ownership of the St. Paul Water Utility. <br />Moved by: Kuettel <br />GEHRZ 4 In Favor <br />GIBBON TALBOT (absent) <br />HUSTAD 0 Against <br />JACOBS <br />KUETTEL <br />A roved b ~~-~ ~ - <br />NN Y <br />Mayor <br />May 14, 1997 <br />Date <br />Attested by: ~~~ ~~~Q_~'Y-J <br />City Clerk <br />May 14, 1997 <br />Date <br />
