No. 95-15 <br />CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS <br />COUNCIL RESOLUTION <br />Date: _Mav 10, 1995 <br />A RESOLUTION REGARDING THE NEGATIVE SECONDARY IMPACTS FROM GUN <br />FINDINGS ON GUN SHOPS <br />WHEREAS, the aforementioned reports and studies, reviewed by the staff and on <br />file at city hall document negative secondary impacts from proximity to gun shops, <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESQLVED that the City Council of Falcon Heights finds <br />that: <br />`~. <br />1. That it is the City of Falcon Heights responsibility to protect the health, <br />safety and welfare of the citizens of Falcon Heights. <br />• 2. That the presence of gun shops create negative secondary impacts in a <br />community. <br />3. That areas within close proximity to residential uses, schools and parks <br />where children may congregate should be a minimum distance from a <br />gun shop to minimize children's unsupervised and unsolicited exposure <br />to guns. <br />4.
