No. R-94-07 <br />• CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS <br />C O U N C I L R Fs S O L U T I O N <br />Date: Feb. 9, 1994 <br />A RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF THE APPLICATION FOR A COMMUNITY <br />DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) BY NORTHWEST YOUTH AND <br />FAMILY SERVICES (NYFS) <br />WHEREAS, NYFS has provided essential developmental services for the <br />youth and families of Falcon Heights since 1976; and <br />WHEREAS, NYFS is finding more and more people in need of financial <br />assistance in order to make use of NYFS' mental health programs, and <br />WHEREAS, the unique partnership between NYFS and its ten Ramsey <br />County member cities has resulted in the ability to provide an essential <br />community service that none of the cities could provide individually, and <br />WHEREAS, NYFS is in need of assistance in purchasing a building in <br />which to house these essential community services, <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of <br />Falcon Heights, that the City of Falcon Heights enthusiastically supports the <br />award of a 1994 CDBG to NYFS. <br />Moved by Gibson Talbot <br />BALDWIN <br />GEHRZ 5 In Favor <br />GIBBON TALBOT <br />HUSTAD 0 Against <br />JACOBS <br />Approved by <br />Mayor <br />Feb. 9, 1994 <br />Date <br />Attested by <br />~ City Ad inistrator <br />Feb. 9, 1994 <br />Date <br />r~ <br />~J <br />
