CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of the <br />City Council of the City of Falcon Heights was duly called and held at the <br />City Hall in said City on the 7th day of January, 1982 at 5:30 p.m. <br />The following members were present: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmembers <br />Eggert, Larson, Ciernia and Chestovich, and the following were absent: None. <br />adoption: <br />Councilmember Eggert introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />RESOLUTION 82-2 <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING A PURCHASE AGREEMENT FOR THE <br />ACQUISITION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY FOR STREET PURPOSES <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Falcon Heights deems it <br />necessary and expedient for the purpose of furthering development of its <br />municipal street system to acquire certain property for such purpose; and <br />WHEREAS, in conjunction with the acquisition of property to be <br />used as a site for a new community center/city hall the City staff has <br />solicited a proposal for the sale of certain property in the vicinity there- <br />of to the City to be used for street pruposes; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has examined and discussed the need for <br />such acquisition and the terms and conditions thereof; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of <br />Falcon Heights that the above premises are hereby approved and confirmed. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the terms and conditions of the Purchase <br />Agreement pertaining to the acquisition of property to be used for street <br />purposes, a copy of which Agreement is on file in the office of the Clerk <br />Administrator, are hereby approved, and the Mayor and Clerk Administrator are <br />authorized and directed to sign such Agreement on behalf of the City as <br />"Buyer", subject to such changes as may be approved by the City Attorney to <br />effectuate the substantive terms and conditions thereof. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly <br />seconded by Councilmember Larson and upon a vote being taken thereon, the <br />following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmembers Eggert, <br />Larson, Chestovich and Ciernia, and the following voted against the same: <br />None. <br />WHEREUPON said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />~~ <br />Willis C.
