• <br />CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City <br />Council of the City of Falcon Heights, Minnesota, xas held on the 23rd day of <br />Jararary, 1975. <br />The following members xere presents M~pror Warkentien, Councilmen <br />Black, Steele, and Labalestra, and the following xere absent: Cotmeilman Eeklund. <br />Councilman Steole introduced the following Resolution as encouraged <br />by the Falcon Heights League of Wcmte~n 9oters and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION X75-1~ <br />"BAN THE CAN PROHOSAL" <br />WHEREAS nonreturnable beer and soft''dMtsk containers contMbnts to <br />the rising cost of waste disposal, and, e, <br />WHEREAS, such containers are highly consma~-tive of energy resources, <br />steel,.and aluminum, <br />THHREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLQED, by the City Council of the City of <br />Falcon Heights, that the Minnesota Legislature be encouraged to adopt apprppriate <br />legislation to establish a s#,ateWide policy regarding nonreturnable bottled and cans. <br />The motion for tt~o adoption of the foregoing Reshlution was duly seconded <br />by Councilman Labalestra, and upon a vote being taken, the following voted in favor <br />thereof: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, Steele, and Labalestra, and the following <br />voted against the dame: None.. <br />Whereupon, the Resolution was declared du]y passed and adopted. <br />y_. . . <br />/s/ Willis C.
