CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City <br />ouncil of the City of Falcon Heights, Minnesota, was held on the 10th day of <br />pri1, 1975. <br />The following members were present: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, <br />Ecklund, Steele, and Labalestra, and the following were absent: None. <br />adoption: <br />Mayor Uarkentien introduced the following Resolution, and moved its <br />RESOLUTION #7>-1I~ <br />A RESOLUTION OPPOSING THE PROPOSED "COMMITTEE BILL" <br />CURRENTLY BEING CONSIDERED BY THE MINNESOTA LEGISLATURE <br />TO AMEND THE POWERS AND DUTIES OF THE METROPOLITAN <br />COUIv'CIL WITH RESPECT TO LOCAL GOVERNMENT PLANNING AND <br />ZONING <br />WHEREAS, the City of Falcon Heights is aware of a proposed bill to amend <br />the powers and duties of the Metropolitan Council with respect to local government <br />planning and zoning, and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Falcon Heights is in opposition <br />to such powers and duties being taken from local government. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Falcon <br />Heights hereby expresses its opposition to the proposed "committee bill" currently <br />~eing considered by the Minnesota Legislature to amend the powers and duties of the <br />Metropolitan Council with respect to local government planning and zoning. <br />The motion for tree adoption of the foregoing Resolution was seconded by <br />Councilman Labalestra, and upon a vote being taken, tYie following voted in favor <br />thereof: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, Ecklund, Steele, and Labalestra, and <br />the following voted against the same: None. <br />WHEREUPON, the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />Passed by the City Council this 10th day of April, 1975. <br />Attest: <br />..-~~ t. <br />,c~~.r' <br />~Dewan B.
