CITY OF FALCON HEIQiTS <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council <br />of the City of Falcon Heights, Minnesota, was held on the 26th day of September, <br />19?t~. <br />The following menbers were present: Mayyor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, <br />Ecklund, Steele, and Labalestra, and the following were absent:. None. <br />Mayor Warkeritien introduced the follov~.ng Resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RE~LUTION #7t~-22 <br />A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THAT THE RAMSEY COUNTY HIGHWAY <br />DEPARTMENT CONDUCT A STJRPEY ON THE SPEED LIMIT OF VE- <br />HICLES TRAVII,ING ON FAIRVIhW AVENUE FROM LARPENTEUR <br />TO AOSEZAWN AVENUES AND CONSIDER LOWERING THE SPEED <br />LIMIT TO THIRTY MILES PFR HOtTR. <br />WHEEtEAS, the Falcon Heights City Council has received numerous requests fraam <br />residents on Fairview Avenue, between Larpenteur and R~oselawn Avenues, to take <br />affirmative action to have the speed limit lowered from fort~r to thirty miles <br />per hour. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, By the City Council of the City of <br />Falcon Heights, that it requests a traffic survey to be conducted regarding the <br />speed limit on Fairview Avenue between Lazpenteur and Roselawn Avenues, and <br />that consideration be given to lowering the speed limit from forty to .thirty <br />miles per hour, for the safety of the residents. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded <br />'~ by Councilman Steele, and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted <br />in favor thereof: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, Ecklund, Steele, and <br />Labalestra, and the following voted against the same: None. <br />Whereupon, the Resolution was declare duly passed and adopted. <br />~C-Cie-rte' ( ~ ~. ~'°~e.,.c.~~~_ <br />WILLIS C.
