Mr. Dick Krueger
and his son, Peter, used a computer to assist in compiling some results
for this survey. They were at this meeting and spent some time going over
• this report with the Parks Commission. The Park and Recreation
Commission will study this report in further detail.
1666 Coffman
The Parks Sub-Committee regarding Park useage at the Grove reported some
preliminary findings, particularly regarding placement of a baseball
back stop. Such items as parking, walk paths, equipment purchases, etc.
will continue to be studied. This sub-committee expects to meet the
last part of February with some residents of the Grove.
Parks and Recreation Director
Connie Lasser reported that Pat Bush had been approved as the Park and
Recreation Director for Falcon Heights. She has already begun some
planning for the summer activities. The Commission decided her salary
should be set at $9.25 per hour.
Winter Skating
The winter rink programs seem to be going fine with the exception of the
Grove. The ice is poor and the rink has not been cleared of snow. Connie
with check with Steve Nelson. regarding re-flooding the rink. It was
suggested that perhaps the City could handle this rink in the same manner
that the rink at the Falcon Heights Learning Center is treated if
. there aren't enough rink attendants to handle it.
Paul Nelson., Secretary
