,~ <br />MINUTES <br />• PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSION <br />JUNE 9, 1986 <br />Members Present: Leo & Jean Ohrnan, Connie Zasser, Ardis Hutchins, <br />Pat Bush, Recreation Director and Paul Cierri~.a, liaison <br />Guests: Mary Ann Wark and Carolyn Collins, Grove Association <br />Members Absent: Tom Amman, Floyd Bedbury, Tom Montain, Paul Nelson, <br />Keith Moderson and Bob Gehrz <br />1. Summer Program <br />Pat Bush reported that Bob Andre and Mark Dawson were hired as <br />T-ball and soccer coaches. T-ball and soccer have enough par- <br />ticipants although not at Idaho-Snelling. Babysitting clinic <br />and dance classes will be offered. Due to lack of participants <br />there will be no adult volleyball league or nature classes. <br />Some of the nature classes will be offered as Fun Friday Acti- <br />vities. Also discussed was the resident reimbursement for <br />Roseville Recreation. This will be further discussed next <br />meeting. <br />2. Fall Program <br />• The Commission discussed the fall program and the timing of <br />the July newsletter as being too early to announce the fall <br />program because the summer program is still running. We <br />decided to publicize the program through the schools and <br />newspapers. <br />3. Removal of Fence at Community Park <br />The Commission discussed this fence and decided that it served <br />no function and decided to remove it and if possible, use it <br />at Idaho-Snelling. <br />4. Idaho-Snelling Asphalt Surfacing <br />A correction in the June 9 minutes; the Commission decided not <br />to put the green tennis court surface on the asphalt at <br />Idaho-Snelling but to check into simply painting game lines <br />on the asphalt. This was recently done. <br />5. Grove Park Plan <br />The Commission met May 20, at the Grove Park and reviewed <br />the layout of the plan and also took into consideration opposi- <br />tion to the placement of the play equiprnen.t.
