r <br />MINUTES <br />PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING <br />JULY 11, 1883 <br />Zhe Planning Commission meeting was called to order at 7:30 P.M. by <br />Chairman Al 3tefanson. <br />Stefanson, 4eistfeld, Nilsen, Wa11in, Mead and Chenoweth. Also present <br />was Council Liaison Ciernia. <br />01son, Brown, Bourquin. <br />The June 6, 1883 Minutes were discussed. There being no corrections or <br />dietions, Don Maad moved, seconded by Phil Chenoweth, that the June b, 1983 <br />Minutes be approved as presented. Mr. Croft was not in attendance. Since the Clerk GEORGE CROFT, <br />Admin3.atrator had polled tha Planning Commission members and Councilmembers 1700 ST. M1,R2S <br />. on this variance, Harold Nilsen moved, seconded by Phil Chenoweth, that the APPROVED <br />variance request be approved. Motion carried unan3mou81y. <br />A variance request from Thamaa G. McClintick, 1!t].7 West Idaho, tc> add a VARIANCE <br />second story tag his existing house, which would be 27 feet above grade, THOMAS G. <br />was discussed. Mr. McClintick~a neighbors have no objection to this ld; CLINTIC~, <br />addition. The roof pitch will be in c®nf'or~nce with existing homes. 7.l~17 W. IDAF~O, <br />Phil. Chen®wetb moved, seconded by Don Mead, that the variance request APPROVED <br />be approved. Motion carried unanim®us1,y. <br />Al Stefanson reviewed his letter dated June 1lt, 1983 to Carl Dale. Since ZONING. <br />Mr. Dale intends to submit the information ®n the zoning ordinance rewrite ORDINANCE <br />this week, a workshop was scheduled for July 18th at 7s00 P.M. Harold WO~iBSHOP <br />Nilsen stated that at the time th• new zoning ordinance is adopted during <br />the public hearing process, the Hawkins/Hern-es property should be coned <br />H-1. <br />Council Liaison Ciernia reviewed the Good Value, Hewlett Packard and Hawkins/ <br />Hermes development areas and updated Planning Camomi.ssion m®bera of the DEVELOPMENT <br />present progress. The City is presently negotiating ease~oents since Hewlett- UPDATE <br />Packard has chosen not to acquire the Hermes property. <br />Council Liaison Ciernia reported that Don Gri~uer of the Citizens Development <br />Committee would be happy to work with the Planning Commission a®t through CITIZENS <br />the Platnriing Commission. He 'had contacted Chairman Stefanson to invite DEVE,LOPMSNT <br />Planning Commission members to attend their meetings. COMMITTEE <br />Council Liaison Ciernia also advised that the C1ty Council discussed the CRITERIA 1~OR <br />Platuai.ng Commission request for establishment of objective criteria for ZONING <br />zoning of the Hawkins property.
