MINUTES <br />PLANNING COMMISSION N~ETING <br />idOVEMBER 7, 1983 <br />The Planning Commission meeting was called to order a.t 7:~t0 P.M. by <br />Chairman Al Stefanson. <br />Stefanson, Chenoweth, Geistfeld, Bourquin, lrlallin, Brown and Mead. Also PRESENT <br />present was Council Liaison Ciernia. <br />Olson and Nilsen. ABSENT <br /> <br />The October 10, 1983, Minutes were discussed. Phil Chenoweth moved, seconded OCTOBER <br />10 MINUTES <br />by Jim Bourquin, to aI>prove the N;inutes as presented. P4otion carried APPROVED <br />unanimously. AS PRES~T <br />Councilmember Ciernia briefed Planning Commission members who were not in LARPENTEUR <br />attendance at the Larpenteur/Spelling Redevelopment jtiiorkshop on October 26th SHELLING <br />of its outcome. REDEVELO- <br /> <br />Chairman Stefanson distributed an article that appeared in the Minneapolis PMENT <br />paper regarding the dE~velopment of the retired "U" employees condominium home. UNIVERSITY <br />Planning Commission members along with Planner Carl Dale reviewed the final DEVE~~, <br />• revised zoning ordinance and incorporated the suggestions made by the City ZONING <br />Staff . ORDINANCE <br />Councilmember Ciernia reviewed a proposed resolution to rezone the remainder of HAWKINS <br />the Hawkins property. After considerable discussion, Plannir~ Commission members PROPERTY <br />were in agreement philosophically with the rezoning request but questioned the REZONING <br />legality of the restrictions and felt the issue should be addressed as part of the <br />revised zoning ordinance, which should be completed by the end of the year. <br />Phil Cheno~Teth moved, seconded by Jim Bourquin, to adjourn the meeting at ADJOURN- <br />10:10 P.M.
