MINUTES <br />• REGULAR PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING <br />AUGUST 5, 1985 <br />The Planning Commission meeting was called to order at 7:30 P.M. <br />by Chairman Al Stefanson. <br />Stefanson, Grittner, Northrop, Olson, Wallin, Mead and Black. Also <br />present was Council Liaison Hard. <br />Trent-Sullivan and Finegan. <br />Grittner moved, seconded by Mead, to approve the July 8, 1985 Planning <br />Commission Minutes as presented. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Judith. Carney, 1841 North Pascal, requested a variance to widen her <br />concrete driveway to be within 3-1/2 feet from the property line. <br />She wishes to keep her cars off the street, especially during the <br />winter months. Presented a letter from her neighbors on the south <br />voicing no objection. Mead moved, seconded by Wallin, to approve <br />the variance request. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Jim Bykowski, 1745 St. Mary's, requested a conditional use to build <br />a utility shed on the southwest corner of his property. He presented <br />a letter from three of his neighbors voicing no objections but in <br />• discussing the project with neighbor Jones, he requested that the <br />utility shed location be shifted farther to the north. Mr. Bykowski <br />agreed to move the utility shed to that location. Black moved, seconded <br />by Wallin, to approve the conditional use request. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />Jim Colton, 1760 Tatum, requested a variance to build an addition to <br />their home--a rambler--to within .3'10" from the property line. He <br />presented a letter from Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Kemmer voicing no objection <br />to their addition. Mr. Colton briefed the Planning Commission <br />on the size, height, and configuration of the addition and after <br />a brief discussion, Mead moved, seconded by Northrop, to approve <br />the variance request.
